U.S. stocks were little changed Monday, as the Dow lost 0.1%, the S&P 500 gained 0.1%, and NASDAQ stood stock still. The S&P 500’s gain was enough to boost it to a new high; it was joined in new high territory Monday by the S&P 400 MidCaps (+0.4%) and the S&P 600 SmallCaps (+0.4%) – a rare display of market breadth during the second half of 2014.
